Rudolf graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2008 with a BEng (Civil) degree and in 2010 with an MScEng degree, specializing in structural dynamics. Intent on pursuing a career in structural engineering, Rudolf joined Arup’s Johannesburg office in 2011. He however soon became fascinated with building façades and immersed himself in this specialist field. Nine years later he founded leRoux Engineering with façade engineering as its primary focus.

During his time at Arup, Rudolf worked on projects in Africa and the Middle East and gained valuable experience on a wide range of projects. He specifically relishes opportunities to see bold architectural visions become reality. To this end he has employed and developed various innovative computational tools. His proudest projects include the Zeitz MOCAA in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, the PwC Tower in Waterfall, Johannesburg and the Marc Jewel in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Rudolf has published in the Journal of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (2011) and the Proceedings of the Sixth International Conference on Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Computation (2016).
